Team training

Pilates continues to be a popular activity for improving core strength and general fitness and wellbeing.

To ensure our patients benefit from the latest techniques, therapists Jenny Deeming, Ed Carroll and Manuela Maxwell have completed Matwork 2, a two-day course with The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) at Holy Cross Hospital’s new conference centre.

The specialist training course built on the foundations of the Pilates exercises and focused on the unique APPI approach to teaching classes.

Jenny Deeming says: “This course has helped to focus on how to teach specific classes, whether it be for back pain, recovering from lower limb injuries or neck problems.”

Pilates classes are held on a Monday and Thursday morning at The Physiotherapy Centre. Speak to your physiotherapist for further information or see our classes page
