Worrying about slips and falls can affect our confidence in keeping active and independent. As we get older, these are real concerns but there is much we can do to maintain and even improve our balance and strength. It's important not to restrict our activities as doing less harms our balance, strength and mobility making a fall more likely.
This month we are relaunching our popular Free From Falls class. Our physiotherapist Ed Carroll will apply the principles of strengthening and flexibility in exercises for balance in group classes. The aim of our Free From Falls classes is to help your confidence and capability in keeping active and safe.
Prior to starting the class, please book an assessment with one of our physiotherapists. If you already see a physiotherapist elsewhere, we can provide you with a referral form for them to complete.
